Tom Cruise bought a sonogram machine so he can stare down the fetus in Katie's belly. "I bought a sonogram machine," Cruise said to Barbara Walters on her "The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2005" special. "I'm going to donate it to a hospital when we are done."
Walters said, "Wait, you are going to do your own sonogram?"... "Yes," laughed Tom.
Unfortunately, Babs missed the obvious (glib) follow-up question, namely, "What on Earth compelled you to spend $15,000 to $200,000 on your own personal sonogram machine when there are actual doctor's offices out there?"
Cruise's rep had no comment on the device buy, according to People.
Tom says he and Katie, who is said to be about five or six months along, still don't know what they're having.
"No, I don't. Barbara, I would tell you," assures the toothy actor. "I would say, 'I know if it's a boy or a girl and I'm not telling you.'"
When asked what he sees on the sonogram, Cruise replies, "A little baby."
MSN
My mom is an ultrasound tech and she's seriously pissed off about this! lol
ReplyDeletetom cruise is not only a well-qualified ultrasound tech but also a master of psychology, modern medicine, and time travel.
ReplyDeleteTom Cruise needs to seek professional help. He's lost his damn mind. How do you not know if it's a boy or a girl and you have the machine at home. Is the machine for show? Idiot. He ruined a personally good lady!
ReplyDeleteThose things have not been 100% proven safe for babies either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a weirdo!
ReplyDeleteIs that the guy on the couch in the upper left? I love it.
ReplyDeleteif i could buy my own ultrasound machine, i would. i think that in the future, people will regularly own them or rent them so they can see their baby whenever they want to.
ReplyDeleteBut . . . isn't there a reason why technicians are trained to run these machines? I wouldn't go up to Kwik Kar and change my own oil!
ReplyDeleteall you have to do is put it on your belly and look for the baby. i don't think it would be that hard.
ReplyDeleteOk, assuming the baby is, infact, homosapien, and Tom didn't buy the sonogram machine just to hide the fact that Xenu's spawn is incubating inside poor Kat(i)e's belly, you know that stupid fool is gonna sonogram her, like, every day, and little baby Tomkat will come out with copious birth defects.
ReplyDeleteIf Xenu's spawn were in a position to feel threatened by sound waves bouncing off of him/her/it, would it fight back with, say, a death ray?
ReplyDeleteJust wondering . . .
Shrimp- I agree. There is a *reason* you go to the doc for sonos. Maybe they will buy an xray machine after the baby is born- the kid could fall you know.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Neal and IdleRecept!!
MK, what did your mom say about daily sonos??
ReplyDeleteFascinatingly stupid!!
ReplyDeleteHe is kissing the woman he looooves and he is looking straight ahead, wow.
ReplyDeleteAs for the sonogram machine, Thomas, your stupidity level never ceases to amaze me.
