Happy Birthday Ellen!

On how getting older makes her feel sexier…
"I think as a woman, you get older, you feel more confident in your sexuality. You’re not as intimidated by it, not as embarrassed by it. Sexuality and femininity is an accumulation of age and wisdom and comfort in your own skin. I feel better—so much better now than I ever did in my twenties. I am calmer; I know who I am. And as a result, I feel much sexier."

On women in Hollywood…
"There’s always going to be somebody younger or sexier. That’s why I like to say, and it's become my famous line, 'Funny doesn't sag.'"

On having more kids…
"I would love to have more kids. Kids are the best part of my day. I don't wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family."

On how her goals have changed since making Legally Blonde…
"My ambition has sort of broadened. I’m more interested in literature, art, public policy. And I’m really interested in doing more philanthropic endeavors."

On her life…
"I'm really, really lucky. I've got a lot of love in my life. I've got great friends. I have two great kids whom I make pancakes for every Sunday. I’m very blessed."

On making romantic comedies…
"I love romantic comedies. I watch them all the time. I love all my fellow female romantic comedy queens, like Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Garner and Katie Heigl. I also think that the questions romantic comedies ask about men and women are universal."

Fergie has been named in Glamour's Women of the Year 2010. Her fragrance, The Peas, The Grammys. She is a bold musical force. She has also shown a real "social conscience," working for causes from AIDS to cancer. So what does Ferg have to say?

On self-esteem:
"If you start making the right choices for yourself, all of a sudden you start feeling better and better. You’d be surprised how addicting high self-esteem is."

On her relationship with husband Josh Duhamel being featured in the tabloids:
"Just knowing that our relationship was stronger than that. We live in a voyeuristic world, and it’s part of our business. But I like to focus on all the perks that I get in this business."

Her advice to young women:
"There were periods of my life when a lot of people didn’t believe in me. [But] I still had faith in myself. I really had to ask myself life questions. Where do I see myself in five years? Create a ladder for yourself, and walk up the steps. Climb that ladder."

On watching other women flock after her husband:
"For me, I’m not a jealous person. That’s just not my thing. You have to have trust in your relationship."

Her advice to teenage girls:
"I think a lot of you teenagers try to get esteem from accolades from other people, or boys, and what you learn as you get older is that you have to create that within yourself."

Paris runs over human with Bentley....Again

This time, no one had a towel over their head.  TMZ reports that Paris Hilton and her role-model boyfriend Cy Waits were involved in a hit and run last night. Apparently he ran their Bentley over a photographer, then just drove off. Story of Hilton's LIFE. Sound familiar?

"It all went down as paparazzi swarmed the car as Paris and Cy Waits left Boa in West Hollywood.  The posse of paparazzi was all over the car, when suddenly Cy accelerated, knocking a photog down.

The couple took off after the hit and the photog called the cops.  Paramedics were also called and took the female photog to a local hospital. We're told at some point later, Cy came back, sans Paris, and spoke with police." Of course he came back without Paris, she is on probation. Like that even matters.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Cy was cited for hit and run, then allowed to leave. Sources say Paris is saying, "The pap is making up injuries."

Mark Ronson gets served

Mark Ronson 'thanked' a group of muggers for robbing him in New York. Ronson told The Times newspaper: "As they're coming to the end of mugging me, I'm still standing there and they're making their plans. One of them is, like, 'We'll meet you back at so-and-so's house,' and they knock fists together. And, because I had so many nerves running through me, I actually put my hand out and did the same. Like, 'Yeah, thanks for that.' " Hahahaha. Ohhhh. Okay, it's not funny. But you can't deny the visual on that one. Glad he is safe...

They do not sleep in Spain...

Ryan Reynolds gave up his sanity to film Buried. Reynolds said he was "so desperate to cure his insomnia while filming the flick, he convinced his family to try smuggling sleep aides to him on the set in Spain."

"Reynolds stars as a trucker who is kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive in the film, but he didn't predict shooting long scenes locked in a coffin would take such a mental toll." And how/why could he NOT predict this? I can't even watch the trailer.

Apparently, over-the-counter sleep aides here in the U.S. are illegal in Spain. He said, "I'd go home and I'd pace until sun up, like a vampire, and then climb into a coffin... I was losing my mind, I hadn't slept in days, weeks." He begged his family to help him, but Spanish immigration blocked the "drugs" from getting into the country.

Ryan says,  "In Spain, you can't get over-the-counter sleep aides. Melatonin is a herbal one that I like to use because it's not really harmful. You can't get it there, it's basically like crack." Wow. So Lindsay just needs to be placed in Spain. Problem solved.

He adds, "I had my family ship it over from America, and it never got to me each time. I tried six times to get it there."

After wrapping up their electric live film, This is War, the Hurricane will hit. Lead dude Jared Leto recently told MTV, "The next thing you will see is the completion of This Is War. And a new video for a song, this is a scoop, for a song called Hurricane. The video is very, very, very, very sexual."

What the hell? He said "very" four times. Yeah, I know you can read but damn? Okay Mars, you definitely have our attention. What could possibly go down THAT dirty on a music video? Can't wait for this one!

A source tells Us Mag, "Yes, it's a romance." Berry 43, and Martinez (44) are "sharing intense passion. They were instantly attracted to each other." Dark Tide started filming a few months ago in South Africa.

Jessica will judge

Jessica Simpson will be a guest judge for the final round of this season's Project Runway on Lifetime. Other celebs that held this position include Victoria Beckham, Faith Hill, and Debra Messing. 


Simpson joined Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia on the runway in New York City's Lincoln Center today for the taping of the season finale's fashion show. Jess wore a "shirt, shimmery" Michael Kors dress for the event.
