Rupert says, "Starbucks is like cancer"

Rupert Everett has joined a campaign to stop a Starbucks coffee shop from opening on his London street. The actor lives in Bloomsbury, central London. He compares the massive growth of the franchise to a "cancer."

He has signed a petition along with 1,000 other residents against the proposed shop. He said, "Starbucks is spreading like a cancer. Nobody in the neighborhood wants it, including me. There are plenty of diners and coffee shops there already."
