Charlize hint to the press...back off

Charlize Theron and her boyfriend Stuart Townsend have decided to get married- when gay marriages become legal.
"We came up with a new idea that we said that we would get married the day that gays and lesbians can get married - when that right is given to them," Charlize said. "We've decided that we're gonna use that in a positive way, so the day that law gets passed then we'll get married."

David gets the O

Oprah Winfrey has finally accepted an invite from David Letterman to appear on the "Late Show" on Dec. 1.
Letterman made the announcement during a taping of his show yesterday. "What a big night that is going to be not only for us, not only for Oprah, but for Broadway," Letterman said. "You have the big `Color Purple' Broadway opening, and then right across the street here in this theater, you have Oprah appearing here. I mean, that's what Broadway is all about. It's a street of dreams."
Winfrey told Time magazine in 2003 that she wouldn't go on Letterman's show because she's been "completely uncomfortable" as the target of his jokes.
"This just gives you an idea of what a big, big star this really is," Letterman said on Monday. "She's huge. Put bygones behind us, the water under the bridge, over the dam, wherever water goes standing in your basement. She's going to be here on this show and it's going to be fantastic."
In 2003, Letterman joked about wanting Winfrey on his show to hold "the Super Bowl of love." Winfrey, who had sent an olive branch gift of books for Letterman's newborn son, called his bluff and invited him on her show. He declined.
"Here's what would happen: I would go on the `Oprah' show, and I would break down and sob like a little girl ... I don't want to have that happen," he said at the time. "I'd feel ridiculous. I'd never be able to live that down, that Oprah would make me sob."

Let's make them PAY!

Two hot celebs known for their pranks, George Clooney and Brad Pitt have been planning a joke to fool the paparazzi- by staging a fake wedding at Clooney's Italian mansion.
Clooney said, "There was a story going around that Brad was going to get married at my house in Italy and it was sort of catching on."
"So I called Brad up and I said we should sort of let it leak out and then hire a bunch of kids dressed up to pretend to be getting married on that day and let everybody rent helicopters and spend a fortune."

Nicole Richie is a basket case

Nicole Richie's daddy Lionel says the stress of his daughter's career is most likely the reason for her cadaverous figure.
"I know what's happening with her right now, she's a nervous wreck," Richie said. "She's like her father, you can either blow up or you can shrink away. And right now, she's just feeling a little bit of the pressures of her new business. So in this case ... she will be all right."
"Dad is on the case," Lionel said.

Ritchie kicks Kabbalah to the curb

Guy Ritchie is reportedly "turning his back on Kabbalah." He feels that the religion has done nothing professionally for him so it is time to distance himself, says a source.
"I think Guy is finally realizing that following Kabbalah hasn't been his greatest career move. He has been notably less enthusiastic about it of late and has apparently been staying away from the Kabbalah Centre." Hmmm. Career crashing? Switch religions!
