Tarantino gags on Hawaii Five-0
Warner Brothers is currently developing a movie version of the 70's series, Hawaii-Five O. Studio execs suggested Quentin direct the film and he was "horrified."
He said, "My producing partner at the time Lawrence Bender was hanging out with some dude from Fox or Warners or whatever, and they said I should stop working on what I was doing, because I'd be so into this. I tried to watch the old TV show, but it sucks. I don't even like Hawaii."

Beckham is out again
Was he ever in? David Beckham fell and left the game in the 33rd minute of Galaxy's Superliga final with Pachuca. Beckham has a brand new knee injury, which may keep him out for four to six weeks.
That means he will miss England's European championship qualifiers. Beckham tripped over the ball and hurt his knee right after his first start. His latest injury is prompting speculation about his future.
The Daily Mail says supporters have been bothered by his no-shows, and a backlash is brewing among fans. "Maybe it's time for me to just say, 'I need the rest,' and get it right and don't come back until it's right," Becks said.
After he was benched, he had his right leg taped, then buried his head in his hands. He did not return for the second half. Don't worry ex-soccer star! Your ex-pop star wife will take care of you!

Madonna is adopting a brand new orphan
Madonna is adopting a little sister for baby David. Rumor is Madge has been given permission to take a 13-month-old Malawian orphan named Mercy.
Madonna met little Mercy at the Kondanani Orphan Care Centre last October. She will fill papers next February and bring Mercy home in April.
A source said, "Madonna's over the moon that she's been told she can take Mercy. She didn't want another complicated adoption."
"Mercy is a beautiful baby girl. She's so joyful and happy and giggles every time she's picked up. Madonna just loves the way she claps her hands and laughs constantly. She has huge, dancing eyes. Madonna calls her her smiling angel."

Oh, by the way- Courtney Love is naked in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. Contactmusic.com says she appears in a "raunchy" photo sprawled over a sofa, but "maintains her modesty with a raised leg and strategically placed necklace." Tuh.
"The newly trim 43-year-old recently denied speculation she is too thin by announcing she gained 10 pounds on a unique cupcake diet." What? What is that? A magic cupcake diet? In last week's US mag she was quoted as saying, "I hate reading magazines where the actresses are saying, 'Broccoli and fish, broccoli and fish.' You liars, You bulimic liars."

Jude Law is in love
Jude Law flew more than 500 miles from London to Berlin, just for a piece romantic date with his new girlfriend, model Susan Hoecke.
An onlooker observed: "Jude and Susan seemed really happy and were pretty tactile with one another. Over dinner, initially they both appeared pretty nervous and fidgety but, after tucking into a second bottle of wine, they really loosened up, giggling, at times, loudly and uproariously."
"Susan is a strikingly beautiful girl and not surprisingly, Jude could barely keep his eyes off her."

Time to check on Madonna's hidden baby
Madonna and Guy Ritchie will finally get a visit from a Malawian court official next month to determine whether or not the couple are suitable parents for 23-month-old David Banda.
Madge started adoption proceedings back in October after finding David in an orphanage. Earlier this month, the director of Malawi's child welfare services, Penston Kilembe, said financial and administrative difficulties had prevented him traveling to London in May to determine whether Banda can be officially adopted by Madonna and Guy.
Kilembe told Reuters yesterday that he would finally be traveling to the couple's home in London. Kilembe says, "There has been a change of mind by my government minister and she has allowed me to leave for the UK on September 4 and I am expected to spend two weeks."

Britney Spears: Accused of child abuse
TMZ is reporting that Britney Spears is being investigated for possible child abuse. A hearing was held today at L.A. County Superior Court.
Britney's lawyer, Dennis Wasser and K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan were both present. No specifics of the allegations have been released, but they're saying that L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services is conducting an active investigation.
A hearing in the custody case has been scheduled for September 4, following up today's hearing.

Gisele Bundchen has canceled the Sydney leg of an Australian promotional tour amid rumors her personal life is in "turmoil."
Gisele was scheduled to promote her Ipanema shoe line- but she pulled out one day after the birth of Tom's baby with Bridget Moynahan.
An Ipanema rep said, "It's very disappointing that she's not coming but unfortunately we have to just work with her schedule. I know that Tom Brady will not be accompanying her but she will have some female support as her twin Patricia and other sister, Gabriela, will be traveling with her. We are hoping to bring her back to Sydney some time next year."

Owen Wilson hospitalized after attempted suicide?
Owen Wilson was reportedly hospitalized yesterday in Santa Monica, Calif., after being treated at his home by EMTs, according to Fox.
Tabloids are claiming Wilson was transported by ambulance to nearby St. John's Health Center after "cutting his left wrist and taking an undetermined number of pills."
Wilson was discovered at his home by his brother Andrew, who made the 911 call for help. Owen's brother, Luke, was seen leaving Cedars Sinai Sunday night with brother Andrew. His parents also allegedly visited him at the hospital.
According to The Enquirer, "Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John's to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him."
"Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills."
"Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica."
