We were right! Heather Locklear and her rock-star husband Richie Sambora are splitting up, the actress's rep said.
"After 11 years of marriage Heather Locklear has filed for divorce from Richie Sambora," says the rep. "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."

What a bitch. She gets caught with the ex and she files? How did Richie let her get the ups on him?
Heather is doing what she does best, playing "spin City". This is nothing more than a cheap disguisting ploy to protray herself as the victim. Was her marriage to Richie really that bad, I DOUBT IT!!!
I'm DISGUSTED by her behaviour...bitch just doesn't even come close. She has now exposed their daughter to ALL SORTS of tabloid crap, because the natural question is going to be, why did she file so quickly?
Trust me, she did not file quickly, she will have been consulting lawyers for a while and basically got fed up of waiting for Richie to do it, which he never would. That's why she did what she did...not because he did anything wrong, but because she didn't want to have to deal with that conversation again. Instead, what has happened is that the tabloids are now going to be on a feeding frenzy and the main victim will be their daughter.
If Heather had only got a message through to him when she had the papers drawn up on 1 Feb, then things would have been so different...they could have said it was a mutual decision and then the media would have backed off.
I'm worried sick for Richie, because I know how tabloids work, and even more worried for their daughter. It's ALL SO WRONG
I agree with you, I'm sure she's been in contact with attorneys for quite a while. ABC.com has quoted her as saying, "I want the judge to enforce the Pre-nup that Richie signed 1994" I'm sure it's skewed in her favor.
However, I don't agree with, she was waiting for Richie to file. I don't believe the two of them had ever discussed divorce. I think in light of all the bad press she'd been getting with her New Year's Eve outing and the Tommy Lee fisaco, in a last ditch attempt to salvage her image she filed.
What's so disguisting is how she did it. If she didn't want Richie, fine. People fall in and out of love all the time; but, SHE FILED AND DIDN'T EVEN TELL RICHIE SHE HAD FILED. The man found out when a reporter told him about it during a press interview. He's sitting there DEFENDING HER and his marriage while the divorce papers are circulating over the internet.
Why not call him and tell him that's what she'd decided to do? Why not wait for the tour to end before filing? Hell, you'd been in the marraige 11 years what's a few more months? Why not file when he was home for the holidays?
She waited for him to leave town, then flung her ass downtown, and filed those papers. The man found out from some two-bit jackass reporter whom I'm sure had the papers in one hand and a camera in the other waiting to get "that special look" so he could plaster them on the cover of every tabloid paper in this country.
That was a deliberate act to embarass him in front of his band members (friends), his family and this entire country.
Can you imagine how he felt?

NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED THAT WAY!!
