Kanye West sued over song

A songwriter in Maryland has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West for stealing the song Good Life.

Dayna Staggs aka D'Mystro, claims Kanye "didn't obtain a license" to sample his record Volume of Good Life for the track. Staggs says that West was "only at the age of six or seven years of age (sic)" when his song was written.

Staggs also objects to the "vulgar and offensive" images associated with the song saying it "harms the reputation" of his inoffensive tune. Staggs is demanding 85% of all world sales of the proceeds from Good Life. What? Only 85%??
