Russell Crowe arrested for hurling phone

Russell Crowe was arrested and charged Monday for allegedly throwing a telephone at an employee of the Manhattan hotel where he was staying.

Crowe threw the phone at the concierge at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo, "hitting him in the face and causing a laceration and substantial pain," according to the complaint. What the hell did the concierge do you say?

"He was trying to get his wife on the phone in Australia," his lawyer, Gerald Lefcourt, told reporters. "He was in his room. He couldn't get a line and there was a disagreement." So he went down to the front desk and found the dumbass that couldn't help connect him, and hit him in the face with the phone. Nice lawsuit.

Great Actor. Lousy Hotel Guest. Hope he is ready to share some of the movie money with the clerk.
