Sean Penn's brother found

Actor Chris Penn, Sean Penn's brother, was found dead yesterday at his condo in Santa Monica. He was 40.

Police said they discovered the actor's body around 4 p.m. and there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Sean Penn's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, issued a statement saying that "the Penn family would appreciate the media's respect of their privacy during this difficult time."

Chris Penn's work included "Mulholland Falls," "Rumble Fish," "All the Right Moves," "Footloose" and "Rush Hour." He also played Eddie Cabot in the 1992 Quentin Tarantino drama "Reservoir Dogs." So sad, goodbye Chris Penn.

Update: Spokesperson Lieutenant Cheryl MacWillie said today, "It appears to be a natural death." Examiners are believed to have linked Penn's weight to his surprising death - he weighed more than 270 pounds - and standard toxicology tests have been ordered. Santa Monica Police Department spokesman Lieutenant Frank Fabrega has confirmed there will be no homicide investigation.

OMG! I was just watching Footloose the other day and thinking, what is that dude from? It's Sean Penn's brother.

So disturbing with all the "Sean Penn's brother found dead". He did have his own career and should be recognized for it.

I totally agree anon 11:06 AM.
Chris Penn was his own person and I think it would be aweful if he knew this is how much respect he is getting after his untimely death. It is really sad.
Gabs I like you but I think you could have chosen a more tasteful and respectful title.
RIP Mr. Chris Penn.

Sorry guys, I did not mean any disrespect. It was surprising that's all, I agree on his career- that is why I mentioned some of his work. Thanks, Gabs
