Mo'Nique on a plane

Actress Mo'Nique Imes (above) was thrown off a plane after arguing with a flight attendant who the TV personality alleges was racist towards her.

Mo'Nique sat in first class with her assistant back in economy. The assistant apparently stashed a hair dryer up in a first class baggage locker. How dare!

A flight attendant allegedly said to Mo'Nique, "Tell your people that the next time they have an attitude, they are being thrown off ... Since 9/11, we don't play around."

Of course a "spat" followed and poor Mo was escorted off the plane and police were called. Mo'Nique told the NY Daily, "I felt like I was being treated like an animal. This happens to black people all the time, and they don't have a voice. It was humiliating."

Jean Medina, a spokeswoman for United Airlines, says, "We regret Ms. Imes felt in any way that she was not treated with courtesy and respect. There was a confrontation involving a customer that caused the flight to be delayed. When a situation occurs on a flight that causes a delay, or disruption, we must act in the best interest of all our customers."

I wonder why Mo was kicked off and not the assistant...

And, why was her assistant huffing it in coach when Mo was up in 1st?

DEEP THOUGHTS, INDEED.

Who gave you the right! Not a single response here was just. None of you are black. As sad as that may be it is the truth. You have no idea what it is like be hated or untrusted at first glance based on something as simple as the color of your skin. No matter what choices I make in my life I will always be black. I am proud of who I am, and I hold not grudges against those who know no better, but on that note I will not tolerate stupidity from anyone. On that day that you wake up and you skin is darker, on the day that you wake up and your bank won't give you a loan, on that day that you wake up and you can't catch a cab, on that day that you wake up and you know that somehow today someone who walks by you and will feel sickened by your presence all based on the color of your skin...then you can make a valid comment, and maybe someone with an education and common sense will listen!
