Reese heads to South Carolina

Reese Witherspoon has moved back home to Charleston, South Carolina with her two kids. Reese split from husband Ryan Phillippe in October, after seven years of marriage.

According to the New York Post, Reese was "thoroughly disgusted with both marriage and her life in Hollywood and wanted to return to her Southern roots. Witherspoon moved back to Charleston to be closer to her family and has enrolled both of her children in local public schools."

Reese said, "I'm doing fine. I'm getting out a little more now. You'll be seeing more of me."

Um... she was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She may have moved to Charleston, but "home" is in Nashville.

add to that the fact that Charleston is a coastal/ocean city with no mountains around at all.

Wow. Do a little research. Or hey, pull out a 3rd grade geography book. Charleston SC is on the coast. Idiot.

I seriously doubt she has enrolled her children in the public schools in Charleston. They are probably at one of the uppity private schools like Porter Gaud. Ryan and Reese got married in Charleston, but she is not from here. Don't write a blog if you don't know how to fact check.

Hey! I can check Wikipedia! BLOG: Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries.

I hardly see a need for a "fact checker." Hell, half of the journalistic outlets in the world don't use "fact checkers." Ask Dan Rather.

Step off sweetie.

I have to agree there is nothing more irritating than reading one of these "reports" and the shit is all wrong.

And why would you take the time to look up the definition of "blog", but won't bother to check what you're writing about? Here's an idea for your next post: write one about Mel Gibson getting all tanked and then raping a purple polka dot jewish donkey who rides a skateboard. Do't worry about fact checking its all good.

You suck.

P.S. - Knowing where Charleston is isn't fact checking, its called geography.

Dear Anonymous,

Since we are getting picky, or rather, you are . . .

1. I believe the title of the post was "Reese heads to South Carolina." South Carolina is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ever been there? I have and I think it qualifies.

2. I looked up the definition of BLOG, not the author of this blog. Get your facts straight before you point fingers.

3. Posting an entry about Mel Gibson getting tanked, raping a purple polka-dotted donkey riding a skate board is hardly news. That kind of thing goes on in Hollywood all of the time.

4. Oooooo . . . I suck. Ouch. An anonymous individual called me a name. Boo Hoo.

Merry Christmas!

This is funny. I was raised and still currently live in Charleston, SC. The only "hill" you get here is in a parking garage. The city of Charleston is no more than 15 minutes from various beaches and the downtown area lies on a river used for commerical shipping. The state itself may be in the foothills of mountains but I guarantee Charleston is far away from that.

What's more tragic? That she has moved to South Carolina or that she's going to enroll her children in their school system? Ryan must have been a helluva a man if he sent her fleeing to the "hills" South Carolina. Just an all-around tragedy no matter how you look at it...

For the record her children are enrolled at a private school named Ashley Hall, they have a coed preschool and after 5k they are an all girls school. The school system here is pretty bad except for Academic Magnet High School wich just got ranked number ten in the nation!

Ya'll are all stupid for caring if her children go to public or private. It does not concern any of ya'll.

Charleston has realized what life is and how to handle life when she is left alone by everyone

Charleston, S. C. is a great and proud city with an unbelievable history. It consistently gets named America's politest city and has been designated the country's NUMBER ONE TOURIST ATTRACTION by Conde Nast Traveler for two years.

What Joe was trying to convey was the fact that Charleston is not a place featured in Deliverance. The book was written by a South Carolina English Prof., James Dickey, who portrayed the Sheriff in the Movie.
