Clooney vs. Fabio...Ding!

George Clooney and his girlfriend had a date at Madeo in Hollywood last week. Romance novel guy Fabio happened to be there too.

Apparently, Fabio was taking party pix with his friends, and he got a little too close to George's table. According to In Touch, Clooney thought they were trying to take photos of him and asked them to stop.

Fabio allegedly went over to George's table to explain, but things got heated. Fabio was overheard saying, "I thought you were a nice guy. Stop being a diva!" How funny is that?

An angry Clooney went over to Fabio- ready to punch. A spy said, "The waiters broke it up before it got out of hand. George looked annoyed... George was drinking but he wasn't drunk." Of course not! Clooney reportedly skipped the rest of his meal, asked for his bill and left. Fabio's manager says, "George is lucky he didn't end up in the emergency room." Clooney in the ER? Never....
