Tracy Anderson is such a fraud. I just read the letter she has posted on her website and had to laugh at how delusional she really is. I was a client at her Fishers Studio and saw a lot first hand. She was not a professional instructor or dancer. She most definitely had an eating disorder as she would down boxes of chocolate. She made many promises which she did not follow through on, such as changing up her workouts on a regular basis. She wouldn't return phone calls or wouldn't show up when you had scheduled appointments to be measured. She was rarely at the studio and when she was she didn't want to talk about exercise or routines. She only wanted to talk about how much she had spent on her clothes. She was in a relationship with Glenn, however it was not an abusive relationship and I have to laugh when she references that she was not allowed to open her own mail. It wasn't that she wasn't allowed, she just didn't do it. Details are definitely not her thing as well as not paying the bills or taking care of her clients. She is, however, a great salesperson so I caution buyers beware!!
I can't believe that some people consistently write on this site about the wrongs of Tracy Anderson. Forgive, forget and get on with your life.
I did some work for her in 2005. Her payments were always late, and when they came in the checks would frequently bounce. She would feign surprise and tell me it must be a mistake--she had never bounced a check in her life. Despite that, they continued to bounce and rack up additional fees I charged on top of the services I had already provided. In the end, I provided her the product and services we agreed to under the original contract (a two-year agreement).
She still owes me more than $5,000 for completed and delivered work. She fell out of contact when she fled Indiana. When I saw she declared bankruptcy, I chalked it up as a complete loss.

Do you realize that Tracy Anderson's Hybrid Body Reformer was actually designed and built by an Indiana based engineer and does not belong to Tracy Anderson? Do you realize that my company Qualtech Tool & Engineering was hired by Tracy Anderson representing herself and EoLA to design and build these machines? Do you realize Tracy Anderson never paid for the design or the build? Would you like to speak with the designer and builder of this equipment?
Do you realize that the 12 original HBR machines designed and built for the EoLA Indianapolis Indiana Studio and the Studio City studio, by me, were never paid for by Tracy Anderson? Do you realize that Tracy Anderson asked me to get involved with EoLA when she couldn’t pay for the machines blaming her MBA business partner in EoLA? Those machines are still in use today and have never been paid for.
Do you realize that you are having my proprietary equipment built and put into your New York Studio without my permission Gwyneth?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson's outlandish lies about me such as my locking her in our broom closet for 3 days in our Noblesville IN home with no food and no water are merely an attempt to cover up her con of an Indiana businessman and his 4 children?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson lied to me and all of her clients about working with the New York Knicks trainers and doctors performing research for her "Method"? Do you realize Eric Anderson confirmed that these were all lies fabricated by Tracy Anderson? Ask the trainers and team doctors that were with the Knicks during Eric Anderson's playing tenure.
Do you realize you could do what I did and ask Tracy Anderson for confirmation and valid research on the muscle biopsies and other research she claimed to have done and had done?
Do you realize you may ask for a meeting with these researchers and Doctors? On second thought, don’t do that, Tracy Anderson will view it as a threat to her survival and try her best to negate any business dealings with you. Also she will fabricate terrible stories and you would be surprised because she is such a natural actress, all levels of education want to believe her every word.
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson has never performed any research what so ever on her "method". She has only charted a few clients progress with an excel program. Do you realize that I personally paid the college student from Noblesville IN, to do that for her? Actually I can only verify that no research had been attempted through June of 07’. You may have helped her do research since then that I am unaware of.
Do you realize that any reputable fitness organization or publication may ask for this research? It would be interesting to see exactly what would be presented, wouldn’t it?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson’s sister is the same size as Tracy Anderson, and it is genetics? Tracy Anderson’s brother is built the same. Again, genetics. Tracy Anderson’s mother is over the age of 60 and a beautiful thin woman. Genetics.
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson’s method is nothing more than a 1,000 calorie a day diet and anaerobic exercise? She has the client, i.e.… you, perform 80 - 100 reps of 8-12 exercises, normal studio time, 1 hour on a reformer with spring resistance and an hour of cardio. You obviously understand the principles behind any exercise.
Do you realize that anyone determined to lose weight or get into their best possible physical shape will do so with proper mindset and motivation. A sensible diet and an hour of cardio on top of your hour of anaerobic exercise and presto, the magic formula is revealed. Remember, I own Tracy Anderson Studios, LLC and I know this to be fact!
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson is very charismatic and very much a motivator. Of course you do!
Do you realize Tracy Anderson is a scam artist and has bilked thousands from many small business men and women? Do you realize that Tracy Anderson must be held accountable to those many small business persons?

Do you realize that judgment was for a fireplace repair at Tracy and Eric Anderson’s home located at 18017 Kinder Oak Drive, Noblesville IN 46062? Do you realize she has plagiarized this to be a wrongful arrest because of a bad debt of her business partner? Do you realize that this arrest reasoning is public record? Would you like to speak with the repairman whom sued Tracy Anderson?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson was sued by Shutters in Santa Monica CA because she left them with an $18,000 catering bill that Tracy Anderson refused to pay after one of her EoLA boot camps? I paid Tracy Anderson’s half of the settlement on this suit for her. Do you realize that this too is public record?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson was going to be sued by the contractors in LA during the Studio City CA studio build out, for lack of payment? Would you like to speak with these gentlemen? Do you realize that I paid for the build out of the studio ($80,000 plus).
Do you realize Tracy Anderson was going to be sued by both the Indiana Studio and Studio City, CA studio landlords? I personally paid current, from 4 months of no pay, the lease payments for Indianapolis and Studio City leases in December of 05’? Do you realize that was a total of $50,000 plus invested into EoLA when they owed me over $100,000?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson lied to everyone claiming that her and Eric Anderson we’re divorced? Do you realize this was in the winter of 05’- 06’? Her clients, her employees, her family! Do you realize that Tracy told all of her family, friends, and her client’s that Eric was an abusive alcoholic and that was the reasoning for their divorce? You could ask one or all of them.
Do you realize in March of 06’ Tracy Anderson asked one of her clients if a few million dollars was a lot of money. The client responded “absolutely, why”? Do you know that rascal Tracy Anderson replied “Because GB has a few million dollars that I know of.“ Would you like to speak with this individual?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson and I started flirting in February of 06’ and developed a personal relationship in May of 2006 during the filming of Tracy Anderson’s DANCE AEROBICS DVD? Do you realize that I personally produced that video? That entire project was paid for by my personal check. I have a copy if you would like to see it? Do you realize that Tracy Anderson unlawfully negotiated the distribution of this video and kept all but $9,000 of the proceeds?

Do you realize I proposed to Tracy Anderson on Sept 5th, 2006 at the Four Seasons in Santa Monica CA, the day that ring was picked up from Rock Star after being sized. Do you realize Tracy Anderson accepted my proposal? Kind of strange since Tracy Anderson and Eric Anderson weren’t even legally separated. Do you realize this looks like a “PIMP MY WIFE FOR MONEY” sitcom except it isn’t a comedy at all?
Do you realize when I found out that Tracy Anderson wasn’t divorced I escorted her, at her request, to an attorney to file for divorce? I paid that attorney, at Tracy’s request, for the divorce filing. Would you like to talk with that attorney? She is a family law attorney in Muncie Indiana.
Do you realize Tracy Anderson continued the lie claiming she had filed for divorce from Eric Anderson for several months thereafter when in reality; she had repeatedly refused the attorneys requests to sign and return the necessary documents to allow divorce filing? Do you realize Tracy Anderson’s sister and brother in law called the state of Indiana were the ones responsible for calling Tracy Anderson out on the lack of filing for divorce?
Do you realize Eric Anderson also went along with Tracy Anderson’s lie for monetary gain?

Do you realize the corporate documents were drawn up with Tracy Anderson owning 51% and she refused to sign the documents on April 24th, 2006, the day Tracy Anderson Studios, LLC was a legal entity. Do you realize my attorney then had to redraft the documents with me owning 100% until Tracy was “comfortable” owning any part of the studios? Would you like to talk to this attorney?
Do you realize I gave Tracy Anderson’s attorney, Jack Hittle in Noblesville IN, the original documents showing Tracy as 51% owner in January of 07’ immediately following Tracy’s request for me to do so?

Do you realize Eric Anderson stated he was in Chapter 13, yet again admitting it was only a ploy he and his attorney started to prolong the Sheriffs sale of Tracy and Eric Anderson’s home located in Noblesville IN and prolong the repossession of Eric Andersons Navigator truck. Do you realize that Eric Anderson stated the filing was to buy time for the Anderson’s since they had filed bankruptcy only a couple of years earlier? Would you like to talk to my banker? Would you like to talk to the Anderson’s home owners association or the Sheriff of Hamilton County IN?
Do you realize that Tracy Anderson never opened any of her mail by her choice? Not because of a controlling business partner, husband, or lover, rather because she wasn’t responsible enough to do so. Do you realize this has been a long standing issue with Tracy Anderson according to both of her parents, both of her siblings, and all of her employees before April 24th, 2006?
Do you realize I found my manufacturing companies unopened invoices for the original 12 machines I designed and built for EoLA, in Tracy Anderson’s and my garage, when I was cleaning it after the notice of coming foreclosure of our home. Do you realize the envelopes, several of them containing statements and invoices, were in a box full of unopened mail addressed to Young Artists and Athletes, HardCore Pilates, EoLA and Tracy and Eric Anderson dating back 3 – 4 years? A simple credit report will substantiate this.

Gwyneth, you and I met on several occasions. You and Chris genuinely welcomed and accepted me into your home. My daughter played with your children. So who am I? I am the man Tracy and Eric Anderson conned. I am the man Tracy Anderson was raving about until the minute you mentioned involving yourself in Tracy Anderson Studios, LLC. I believe you to be a good woman, a good mother and a good wife. It is interesting however as to whether the definition of a good person includes doing proper due diligence on one before you defame and try to assassinate their character. Does this mean anything to you?
Madonna, we also met on several occasions. I find it both humorous and redeeming, not in a negative fashion, that you, once voted the 3rd most powerful woman in the world, are in the same position I was in until June of 07’. You are completely suckered and stuck with Tracy Anderson and her “method”. You of all people are smarter than this.
It is quite interesting that both of you, Gwyneth and Madonna, have endorsed Tracy Anderson as a product and neither of you, with all of your resources, did any due diligence before doing so. I hope at the very least that this gets the attention of a few fact finders and attorneys within your organizations, before someone gets hurt and demands the studies and research materials trying to prove negligence.
I do not want either of you to suffer any significant loss or repercussions stemming from your association with Tracy and Eric Anderson.
I encourage anyone, everyone, to investigate these facts and the Realization’s I have provided and attempt to discredit even one.

For those of you wondering about her New York Studio... I am a NY resident who completed the online form on the Tracy Anderson Method website to learn more about the "Holiday Package" and was IMMEDIATELY emailed a credit card authorization form. The person gave me no information whatsoever on the studio or the method - there wasn't even any contact information, no phone number, nothing. But boy did they have their hand out for my money - $5,000. Very sketchy. Good luck trying to pull that on NY'ers!
I was very excited to learn more about this and to take classes at her studio but now am pretty turned off. Oh and by the way, there were audition notices in Backstage and on Craigslist for dancers in the beginning of January '09. That means I would have spent my hard earned $5,000 on instructors who have two weeks more experience with the method than me.
hi, im from london. I read about tracy andrson in a magazine and thought, wow finally some fittness program that will work, sounds promising. Who doesnt wanna look like madonna or gwyneth. But after searching more about tracy on internet i found this site and was shocked. All of you, who was cheated by her should definitely speak out. And as for me im definitely not gonna buy her dvd.
Just wanted to know does her method work or are you just all complainers. Sorry since I am not attending the studios anytime soon It would be interesting to know if anyone has gotten/not gotten their dvds thats all.
hello all, i was not a client of tracy's pilates but of her dance and drama programs, and was very close with tracy and her family. i miss her very much and am trying to get in touch with her. i even remeber my brother having his first sleepover with her son, and tracy taking me and a fellow ckient to chicgao for a kelly clarkson concert. tracy is a great person. bit i must admit she did get caught up with some finiacial trouble and deserves the second chance. i am very pirud of her and her sucsess.

I drove by her studio in Studio City, CA the other day, I googled for info and came across this post. That being said, I'm 100% neutral, don't know her, never taken a class, etc...I PERSONALLY have no gripes, and at the same time I'm sympathetic to anyone's quest for equality.
The person that keeps mentioning caps, Navigators, and her sexy ass is doing a diservice to Tracy by repeating him/her self and posting grammatical erros left and right (see: you're vs. your), rants like that can do more damage than good...and a lot of the people that feel ripped off, keep arguing (on their behalf) not to judge "if you don't know the whole story". AGAIN from a neutral stand point, I can guarantee you couldn't possibly know her other side to this story. I can see how things could spiral out of control in ANY business endeavor. It's almost as though things get so out of control you feel like running, and you do. You're the innocent bystanders, unfortunately, I hope in due time you get your checks in the mail. One more side note, I remember signing up for a small gym in my hometown, and I kid you not, 2 days later, was shut down. I thought those bast***s KNEW and still signed me up, I'm a few years wiser and realize that most likely the employees (and probably the owner) had no clue when the inevitable would happen. I was caught up in the 'business as usual' until the very end. Only difference it seems, between your situation and mine, is the price and the fact that I couldn't bash the owners because they weren't celebrities. Unfortunately these things happen. I mean unfortunately too.

Glynn sorry to hear your whole life (and loved ones')was affected, certainly you find some sense of empowerement when you're reminded that you're not a victim, but a participant, you coulda STOPPED the moment you saw one red flag, cut your losses then, and moved on--and rule number one...DO NOT mix business with, er pleasure? Now go listen to Anthony Robbins and awaken the giant within, or go Kabbalah yourself. I'm not unsympathetic, I too was once robbed by a business partner. I recently purchased two of Tracy's DVD's - the Mat Workout and Dance Cardio. Wow, incredible stuff - and I thought I was fit - not so when you start with the dance cardio! It's great to see results happening so fast and from my point of view she seems to really know her stuff. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Pity to hear about this bad press.
I belonged to her gym in studio city a year ago. It was initially a good thing for me and I enjoyed the workout. I was working out with one of the trainers Andi a lot. Then there started to be a lot of turn over with the trainers and they would just bring in young girls from craigslist to be trainers...obviously hired because they were pretty..but knowing nothing about working someone out. I was paying $600 a month at that time. There were only 6 machines so classes would get very booked up and it would be tough to get in. After a couple of weeks I got injured on the machine when the young trainer chick wasn't looking. I had to stop working out completely for 2 months. The exercise I'd been doing felt awkward and I had mentioned to Maria (another trainer, now the 'gym manager' that I thought I was doing it wrong or needed a modification...she told me to 'stop being a whiner.'
Anyway...now that I live in New York, I would never go to the gym just because I'm sure it will be staffed with inexperienced trainers. Also I think Oprah having Tracy Anderson on with Gwyneth has been the biggest boost to Tracy.

I am a fitness trainer and columnist. I have been fascinated by Tracy's claims of "years of research" and wanted to see what she had to offer LIVE. So I signed up for her 3 hour training session at the NYC Marriott Marquis this morning.
Tracy showed up 30 minutes late with NO apology or acknowledgment that she kept a group of 100 busy, professional, students, dancers, single, married, moms, childless women waiting. All we got was a mention of how she scarfed down 3 pieces of pizza and five brownies the evening before in the Hamptons with her son.
She had 20 trainers hanging out who could have at least done warm-ups with the group while we waited...
After lots more name dropping: Madonna, Gwyneth, Babbo, blah, blah, blah..., the program began. IMO, it was the Tracy Anderson Show. Much like her DVDs, there was NO cuing, NO explanation of exercises or terms (I mean, really, how many people know what the ballet term 'attitude' is?), unequal reps, missed sequences.
Frankly, if you have a room of women of various fitness levels, (who have each paid $200) A GOOD TRAINER would consider slowing down the program a bit. Nearly every move done to a very high tempo. Tracy's trainers were positioned throughout the room. One was placed in front of me. She was horrendous. She was "throwing" her leg during portions of the leg sequence. I was fearful she would throw out her knee. Other trainers were equally as bad. I saw lots of poor stabilization and lack of control in movement. Phew - I am happy I didn't pay the outrageous TriBeCa studio fee.
Something that annoyed the heck out of me was that Tracy had her back to the class the entire time. It makes it very difficult to follow her ab exercises when she is lying on her back and you can only see the crown of her head!
She also stared at herself in a dressing room mirror during the whole session??!! With three other trainers on stage, it would have helped to offer different angles of the exercises.
Overall, Tracy seemed ill-prepared for the entire session. It felt as if Tracy got in late from the Hamptons and didn't really have too much time to spend on her workout for the common folk.
I will say that Tracy is a phenomenal dancer and most probably a fantastic trainer to Madonna and Gwyneth. She also oozes a girlish enthusiasm that must be motivating and fun to be around!
But it might behoove her to remember that she's not so big YET that she can forget to dot her i's and cross her t's. If she does, her rising star might fall fast.
I simply don't want anything to do with anybody who has anything to do with Madonna and Gwynneth. In person they are two of the most hideously unattractive un femme females of our time. Tracy Anderson caters to trendy wanna be's who need to feel important by associating with someone with celebrity connections. If you want to get in shape find yourself an authentic Pilates trainer. Without 50 volume peroxide, botox, fillers and photoshop Tracy would be more wretched.

I too believe that Gwyneth Paltrow has over extended herself. I believe she has made a very poor choice of fitness expert and business partner. There is much publicity surrounding Miss? or Mrs?, depending on the day or publication, Tracy Anderson.

It is up to the Gwyneth Paltrow's of the world to fight frauds and con artists, not promote them for monetary gain. Especially in today's economic climate.
Gwenyth had an amazing and curvy figure that only needed toned and tightened. Now she is taking on a cartoonish skeletor look like Madonna has acquired over the last year and a half. Madonnas' fitness level is impressive, however it is not feminine or sexy to a majority of men. In my opinion, Tracy Anderson's body looks more like that of Peter Pan or a young boy, than that of a healthy and sexy woman.
I would assertain that since Gwyneth's association with Mrs. Tracy Anderson, she has had issues within her family, her friends and her colleagues. All of her predecessors have as well. I can make that statement because I am included in that special group.
I hope that Gwyneth siezes the opportunity to nourish her inner self and seek the truth about Mrs. Tracy Anderson. I appreciate how much time and money she has put into their joint business effort but at what point does honesty and integrity trump dollars and cents? One would think that Gwyneth would encourage Tracy Anderson to nourish truths just as Gwyneth encourages the rest of us to do.
The world could use the Gwyneth Paltrow of 2006. The world could use a Princess and a Hero, not another sell out or sell all for a buck.

As a fitness professional, I am curious about these Hybrid Reformers. How much do they really differ from "Pilates" reformers?
Also, Tracy does seem to have an ability to change the shape of women's bodies. All bitterness aside, do you attribute this to her exercises, her sequencing, her knowledge of the human body, what is it?
I don't believe a minute of her research story but that's not stopping her getting celebrity clients, book deals, etc.
What will stop her scam?
I wonder if there is this much energy put in to your works outs, to those that bash. If so, none of you should need to pay a trainer.
But what about the FOOD part? That is something that is FOREVER overlooked in things like this.
Why is no mention made of the best way to EAT to obtain and maintain a body like hers? All the exercise in the world isn't going to help if you don't know how to eat correctly - which few of us (myself certainly included) KNOW!

All certified trainers can be found through reputable organizations like PMA pilates method alliance, AAES etc. Consumers do your homework!! Regardless of Ms Anderson's business dealings, she has NO credentials other than (premeditated) befriending of Paltrow, Madonna, Oprah and a highly paid PR Rep. What is her training, education?
Well sounds to me like you all know Tracy and Gylnn very well. So let me say this I dont know Tracy, nor do I care to know her(Tracy). As for Glynn I have been friends with him since 1994. She has no curves whatsoever on her body, nothing feminine about her, no ass. If you want to look like a 9 year old boy who popped on a wig and bra do her workouts and just starve yourself.
This crap she says about less weight=less bulk, yeah that's partly true, you can lift heavy weights and eat nothing and still look super skinny if that's what you are after. She mentions nothing about nutrition and diet, the whole point is to exercise and eat right, you can do her workouts and your body won't change if you still eat crap. Oh my god, Tracy was my trainer in LA and she came onto me every session we had. She wanted to "experiment with the ladies", she used to say. The things she wanted to do made me blush. I am a lesbian and found her attractive but she was a little disturbed. I hope things work out for all involved. She is a nice lady all in all.
