"Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston" by artist Daniel Edwards (above) is set to be displayed April 7-23 at Brooklyn's Capla Kesting Fine Art. Spears did not pose for the sculpture-she just inspired it. And the drama begins...
Gallery co-owner David Kesting said that calls of protest have come in from as far away as "Tokyo, England, France. Some people are upset that Britney is being used for this subject matter. Others who are pro-life thought this was degrading to their movement. And some pro-choice people were upset that this is a pro-life monument."
"Everyone is coming at me with anger and venom, but I depicted her as she has depicted herself – seductively," said Edwards.
"Suddenly, she's a mom. It's really a sincere tribute to giving birth," he said. "That's really what it is."

anyone else think that sculpture looks more like Ashley Judd than Britney Spears? :o)
I would hate to see this sculpture from the other end
I think the artist just attached Brit's name to it to get publicity. It doesn't look like her at all and actually doesn't even make sense. I've given birth to two babies and I can tell you that there is no way I could've gotten into a position like that while in labor.
and then there's the weird let's welcome a life into this world while holding onto a dead animal's head. What can ya do? Art is art... apparently.
