Rumor is that Kelly Clarkson, NASCAR's new spokeswoman, and driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. are getting the hot diggety hook up push by "NASCAR bigwigs."
An insider tells Globe, "Nothing could be better for NASCAR than having Kelly and Dale as a romantic couple. They've got incredible star power and charisma- and they're both very cute. They could drive NASCAR to a whole new level of popularity!" So that's the plan? NASCAR goes trendy?
Kelly has been slacking....she will headline the Nextel "Tribute to America" concert before the Daytona race in Florida on Feb. 18. Expect a new NASCAR commercial featuring a song from her upcoming third album. She will also speak up at the 4th Annual NASCAR Day on May 18....and she will perform at the Nextel Cup's Champions Banquet in New York on December 3. Whew. Plenty of Dale time.....
