Hip Hop Honors Week on a Saturday



Today is Culture and Music Day in NYC...in honor of VH1 Hip Hop Honors Week. Don't forget, all of this excitement leads up to the SHOW airing on Tuesday, October 17 at 9pm ET. Take a peek!

Museum Exhibit: Black Style Now
The exhibit focuses on designers and style setters like Diddy, Tracy Reese and Russell Simmons. Highlights the Hip Hop revolution and it's transformation impact on fashion and design.

Hip Hop Career Day
Aspiring artists ages 15-21 are invited to "refine" their skills in workshops led by professionals in the fields of music, performance, management, art and fashion design.

Music: Ladies First Rap and DJ Demo
Conversation and culture...Discussion of women in mainstream Hip Hop media. Toni Blackman gives a demo with her freestyling group of young female MCs.

Graffiti Tour & Demo, 5 Pointz
5 Pointz is the only legal graffiti zone in NYC where anyone can paint. The entire building is canvassed with aerosol-inspired works, all created with permission from the resident artists and endorsed by the building's owner. Join the artists for a special tour and live painting demo by Meres and Nic 1
