Hairdresser Pascal Bensimon, 45, finally admitted to stealing Kevin Costner's laptop last year. The owner of an upscale salon in Aspen, Colo., was hired for guests at Costner's 2004 wedding to Christine Baumgartner. There, he stole the actor's computer, which contained pictures of the wedding.
Bensimon was ordered to pay $1,500 restitution, serve two years of unsupervised probation and perform 25 hours of community service.
"I'm sorry for all of the trouble I've caused," Bensimon told the Judge yesterday after pleading guilty in a deal with prosecutors. "I want to go forward."
Bensimon's son had called Apple Computer with the laptop's serial number in an effort to get a new password. Pffft. It was pretty easy to solve from there. Bensimon said he stole the laptop because Costner treated him like crap.

Yeah, hi.
Apple Tech Support?
Hi, I'm the son of the guy who stole Kevin Costner's laptop.
Yeah, the one with all the wedding pictures.
Big reward? No... I haven't heard.
Yeah. Anyway, listen...
I was wondering if you can help me with the password to this laptop? The one with all of Kevin Costner's wedding pictures? Yeah, and the fat reward.
No... I wasn't aware that I am about to commit a federal crime. Yeah, my dad was the one who stole the laptop from Kevin Costner, the famous Hollywood actor, writer and producer.
Yeah... it was my dad.
OK, cool. So what was that password? Hold on, let me write this down.
Ok, shoot.
p... a... s... s... w... o... r... d...
Yeah, that worked. Thanks a lot!
